Director, Digital Marketing Strategy

January 2017 to Present

Lead SEO, PPC and conversion optimization teams and consult of enterprise strategy for some of the most recognizable brands in the world. Consulting clients range from non-governmental to higher education to pharmaceutical to industrial, including UNICEF, Harvard University, Duke University, MAXIM magazine and Giant Eagle. Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing team of 9 professionals
  • Mentoring employees in the department
  • Leading AdWords training sessions around US
  • Presenting at conferences and other forms of thought leadership
  • Collaborating with sales representatives to promote company services

Adjunct Professor, Marketing

December 2016 to Present

Instruct senior marketing majors in Advertising and Promotion (BUS 350) and Digital Marketing (BUS 496) in fall and spring semesters, respectively. Students learn the material while providing free consulting for Pittsburgh nonprofits that could not otherwise afford digital marketing consulting. These efforts have been covered by local press, including Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Pittsburgh Tribune Review and TEQ Magazine by the Pittsburgh Tech Council.

June 2014 to January 2017

Grew the team from 3 to 7 professionals through an emphasis on technical advancement and industry thought leadership. Led efforts to expand department revenue by improving efficiency and justifying higher hourly rates. Department revenue (and national notoriety) improved considerably during this period. 

Lead & Project Manager, SEO

June 2012 to June 2014

Led digital marketing projects for a variety of local and national organizations. Biggest accomplishments include building an expertise in Google AdWords and Google Analytics on nights and weekends, as well as honing technical skills. Ongoing education is essential in digital marketing, and this position both taught and rewarded hard work in that area.
